How to Use S3 Browser
The S3 Browser tool provides a straightforward way to manage your S3 objects. Here's a quick guide to get started.
1. Connect to Your Bucket
Open the S3 Browser and fill in your connection details:
- Endpoint URL (or leave default for AWS)
- Region (e.g.
us-east-1) - Access Key ID and Secret Access Key
Click Connect to establish the connection.
2. Browse Your Buckets
Once connected, your available buckets appear in the sidebar. Click any bucket to view its contents. Use the breadcrumb navigation at the top to move between folders.
3. Navigate Folders
Click on any folder to drill into it. The breadcrumb trail updates as you navigate, and you can click any segment to jump back to a parent directory.
4. Upload Files
Use the upload button in the toolbar to select files from your computer and upload them to the current folder in your bucket.
5. Download Files
Click on any file to view its details, then use the download action to save it locally.
Tips
- Use the search/filter in the file list to quickly find objects
- The file list shows size, last modified date, and storage class for each object
- You can connect to non-AWS S3-compatible services by changing the endpoint URL
